American Eagle.
I am often asked what makes American Eagle so much better than other language schools. When you start leaning a new language (or anything new), the more you practice the better you become. Since the students are having class every day they are speaking and practicing English daily. Most cram schools only have classes twice a week. When the students aren’t in class they don’t even think about speaking English. They do their homework, but they will only speak English again after a few days. At American Eagle they are speaking English daily and it becomes more natural and easier for them to speak English.
We have an English only policy so they have to talk to all the teachers in English, not just their English teacher.
The American Eagles curriculum is designed so that all the subjects are inter-related, because it is a spiral system the work is revisited on different levels of development. The early teaching emphasizes basic ideas. After that, these basic ideas are built up on. They start to become more complex.
As new knowledge and skills are introduced they reinforce what has already been learnt and become related to previously learned information.
At American Eagle our teachers follow a WRITE C lesson plan. This means that they review previous work, introduce the new work, teach the work, the students do work in their workbooks, the teachers expand on this work and finally everything is checked. This helps students organize their thought processes, they feel comfortable with how lessons unfold and they use new language and concepts immediately. In return this makes students more active in their learning.
